WebMethods on-premise installation Guide

Let’s start the installation process :

• Open the browser and search “webmethods on-premise download” and click on the first link.
  
  
  

   

• Now scroll down and click on the webmethod integration download button.
  

   

• Now it will ask you to log in, log in using your Gmail, or create your account first and then login.
• After you have successfully logged in below page will be visible to you.
  

   

• Now click on the download button.
• Once you click the download button one page will open and it will ask you a few details just fill those in and click submit.
  

   

• Finally, one more page will open like below and will need to download which is marked in the screenshot.
  

   

• Hope you have your downloaded file ready with you😀.
• Now unzip the license zip file, there you can find all license.xml files for different webmethods component  
• Now right-click on the installer file and run as Administrator.
• One window will be opened, now click on Advanced Options.
  
  
  

   

• Now one more window will be opened.
  • Select the Images tab.
  • Check Use Installation Image.
  • Now click on browse and select the archive file which we have downloaded(name should have ended with Win32/64bit.zip).
    
    

     

• After selecting the zip file now click on validate button, it should show you a success message after validation then click ok.
  

   

• Now click on the next button.
  

   

• Now it will show you the installation directory in your C drive and your system name, let it as it is, and click the next button.
• Now it will ask you to select the component to install like below.
  
  
  

   

• Now select the basic things that I have selected in the SS and click next(You can select other completion as well if you really need it).
  
  
  

   

• Now it will show you the component that it is going to install, click next.
  

   

• Now provide the password that you want to use while logging into IS(Integration Server), you can check the unchecked box if you want to change the password again once you logged in else you can leave it and click the next button.
  
  
  

   

• Now you need to provide a few details, please follow the below procedure.
  • Select the integration server license file which we have extracted at the beginning of this session.
  • The instance name is set to default, you can change it if you want.
  • Check the register Windows service check box, it will allow you to start or stop IS from Windows services and click next.
    
    

     

• Now it will ask you to configure the database, if you have a database(oracle/sqlserver/mysql/postgres), please select external database instead of embedded and fill in the details and click next else click next as an embedded database is already selected, connection name you can give anything but remember it as we need to use it in next phase as well. (Please give the URL in the format shown on that window for different db only change host and port)
  
• Now It will ask you for db details again to make TN work, please fill in the same db details again, or else TN will not work.
  
•  For platform manager configuration check the below check boxes and click next.
  
  
  

   

• Now for Common directory service support provide the same DB details and click next.
• For My webmethods configuration DB is needed so as I have marked in the SS below, select the check box and fill in Oracle db details and remember the service name will have the Database name, and then click next.
  

   

•  Now UM configuration select the UM license file and check the check box marked in the SS and click next.

• After the installation check the C drive it should have a SoftwareAG folder available like below.
  
  
  

   

•   Now it’s time to verify the Windows services, search for services in your machine and open it, SoftwareAG components should be visible now.
  
  
  

   

•  Now go to below “C:SoftwareAG/common/db/bin” path and run the dbConfigurator.bat file.
• Now it will open the Database Competent Configuration window like below.  
• Now select one component at a time and give the DB details and click execute button, repeat the same step for all components which you have installed.
  
  
  

   

• Now once your db configuration is done if you check the database
  which you have supplied will have a lot of tables that will be used by
  IS, and MWS.
  
• Now you can start your webmethids integration server by right-clicking on the SoftwareAG Integration server and then the start button.
• Now open the browser and hit http://localhost:5555, after some time it will open the IS for you like below.
  
  
  

   

• Now login using User as – Administrator and password- the password which you have given while installing the product, incase you have not given a default password will be manage.
• Boom your IS page is here!!!!
